Garret’s videos and personality inspired me to take on powerlifting at 14 years old. From there I ended up breaking state records with his conjugate videos. Some 10 years later it saddens me deeply to have him no longer with us. Thank you for every bit of laughter and inspiration Garret. Never Say Die.

I didn’t know Garrett personally but at the start of my lifting journey stumbled across massthetics. I followed Garrett religiously since, he gave me motivation when I had none. I messaged Garrett a few times and despite his following would always reply. A true legend and hero who touched many. Never say die. Rest in peace Gary.

Massthetics was the main channel I watched over and over again. They really got me hyped when I started powerlifting. I even remember Garrett reaching out to me and wishing me a happy birthday a few years back. Rest In Power. #massthetics #legion #foreverMassthetics was the main channel I watched over and over again. They really got me hyped when I started powerlifting. Long Live Garrett, I appreciate everything you’ve done for me. Both You and Simon helped get me to a point in my life where I turned it around. Forever apart of longmint legion. Never say die, Jose

As someone who has been watching his content since 2015, Garrett was such a great motivation for me to become strong. I’ll always remember the impact he had on me as a lifter and as a person. Rest in peace

I religiously watched him on YouTube during his time creating content. I vividly remember watching an entire video of him road tripping to LA, a 40 minute video of him just messing around and then working out. He had a way of uplifting and entertaining. I’m 2018, on a cross country move out to Phoenix, I made it a point to stop in ALQ to see him and gym. Garrett could not have been more welcoming. He invited me into that unit he lived in inside the gym, and we had an hour conversation about life, he gave me a legion iron t shirt and a Red Bull for free, and invited me and my dad to watch the Conor McGregor fight later that night at the gym and offered us some food. And a couple months ago, I tuned into a live stream he was doing, mentioned this time to see if he remembered…and he remembered THE EXACT night and my name the whole nine yards. Someone you can tell who’s genuinely a good person with good intentions. RIP Garrett. I hurt for his family and friends and girlfriend Serena. You are all in my thoughts.

Have been a massthetics fan since the beginning! Garrett got me into powerlifting. Being a small dude and seeing what strength he was capable of was so inspiring. I religiously watched the massthetics channel and used their knowledge of the conjugate program to be the best and strongest powerlifter I could be. I was shocked to hear of his passing but i know he raged against the dying of the light. Respect and best wishes to his family and loved ones. We lost an amazing and influential person.
